Project guide

Better inputs make the first review more useful.

You do not need a complete engineering package to start. Share what is known, identify what is not, and avoid sending sensitive or regulated information through the initial form.

01

Function

What must the part, assembly, equipment, or system do? What does it connect to?

02

Information

Share available drawings, revision numbers, dimensions, photos, sketches, or a reference part. Do not send controlled or sensitive files through the initial web form.

03

Material & finish

List known material, surface, finish, cleanliness, exposure, food-contact, or corrosion requirements. If unknown, say so.

04

Quantity

State whether the need is a single custom item, a prototype, a repair discussion, or a repeated quantity.

05

Location

Explain whether the work is shop-based or involves a site, access restrictions, shutdown windows, utilities, lifting, or coordination.

06

Timing

Provide a target rather than assuming availability. Time-sensitive does not mean accepted or scheduled until confirmed directly.

Useful to include

  • Plain-language purpose
  • Available dimensions or drawing revision
  • Known material and quantity
  • Project or worksite location
  • Target timing and constraints

Do not submit initially

  • Passwords or access credentials
  • Payment-card or bank information
  • Government identifiers or identity documents
  • Medical or unrelated personal information
  • Export-controlled or restricted technical data
